Raksha Bandhan, also known as Rakhi, is a cherished festival that celebrates the bond of love, care, and protection between brothers and sisters. It is observed on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Shravan (July–August).

On this day, sisters tie a sacred thread called rakhi on their brothers’ wrists, symbolising their love and prayers for their brothers’ well-being. In return, brothers pledge to protect and support their sisters throughout life. This exchange of affection strengthens family bonds and highlights the values of trust, care, and mutual respect.
