Annual Expeditions

Having successfully completed our HKC Expeditions, NPC now aims to conduct two HKC Expeditions annually, allowing HKC theme based projects, sub projects and activities to be understood at grassroot level and planned for implementation in the regions we visit. These expeditions are dedicated to the young generation and children, giving them the opportunity to participate too.

Pilot Projects

Six different HKC pilot projects have been conceived, planned and are being implemented across the Indian subcontinent, with completion targeted for Q1 2026.

Expedition 05, Legs 2 to 4

The upcoming Legs 2, 3 and 4 of HKC Expedition 05 are scheduled for Q2 2026. The journey will extend all the way to Arunachal Pradesh, continuing the spirit of exploration and knowledge exchange across regions.

Expedition 06, West Africa

HKC Expedition 06 is planned by sea and land across West Africa by the end of 2026. It begins as a sailboat expedition from Lorient, France, to Pondicherry, India, around the Cape, with an onboard research laboratory for Ocean Science. This covers marine observations, data collection and analysis on ecosystems, pollution, climate change and marine life, alongside scholarly studies across oceans and coastal areas en route (in reference to the UN Ocean Science Decade). During stoppages in different nations along the way, the expedition will also conduct HKC land based expeditions, as done in India.
